Of Peace

P C K Prem

This minute is noteworthy

I tell you,

here it is stillness spread

in quads of chessboard,

to tell tale of a lost man.

Into memory he is forgotten

the teasing moment slips

engraved it’ll be in the heart

of marble cold with weary laughs.

And wounds enlarge a lot

in times of escalation

in measuring index as peace eludes,

in words countless.

Here flinty hearts bloat today

with frigid whispering love

to depict psyche of times uncertain.

Here goodwill has gone astray

and feelings are buried

and no prejudice in primed display

of peace tainted,

a play of feelings structured it is

to suit anarchy of an age.

It is the right time

to strike a bargain

and a concord to live,

in the world’s dark chamber

of despotic democrats.

As twosome, build a pact

broaden and lengthen stillness,

in this is hid a wanted terror.
