Before the end

Joby John, Lecturer, Mar Augusthinose College, Ramapuram

I know for sure I lost my might
I lost my senses, end of sight
Over your picture, oh! a Delight,
When I see you framed in colourful light.

Oh what a picture, is it true
That colours are blind in your hue?
Gold and silver sparkle on you
As I am struck, thought consumed.

In your eyes my mind fades
Yielding my all to those dark shades
A glimpse of love celebrates
No words can define your embrace

And if I m taken to my eternal home
An endless snare, my future dome
I would in all my sincerity
Plead to you,  come with me, lest I moan

And travel to that world thence
Of no bondage and no fence
Where you and I can be one
No soul can make our love undone

I lie not in half said lines
But wish for endless times
For us to be in harmony
In marriage, loving ceremony.
