Sadness

Dr. O. P. Arora

When the cup of sadness overflows
Sufferings of the human race overwhelm
I can no longer pretend—
Just a fluid situation, a cycle
Of joy and sorrow, Nature’s cackle
This too would meet its end…
A hopeful page of life
Craves to be written,
But wit defies Browning’s Ride
Reality pours its darkest prediction…
