And The Shades Shall Give Ways

And the shades shall give ways
to the uneven tranquilized path
that too often drift along
the margin of the bay.
Equations there manifold,
reasons with their own commands
forcing vacuum at spade
and the spade to the lump so goes on.
Mantles moaning to see the lives
that the bombs and missiles do chat
and a sensible sense there to stand
a formidable valour as it is on.
The hours roll in fumes,
fancies, there, the heroes made,
And the humanity again stale,
the valid, pitiable figures to sustain.
