We are pleased to share with you the information that Impressions has completed ten years of publication. It has been made possible because of your continued support and encouragement.

During these ten years we have published 138 Research Papers, 91 Poems, 22 Short Stories, 11 Interviews and 21 Book Reviews. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our contributors for making this journey possible.

It is also the time to wish a Colourful and Happy Holi to all. 

This issue of Impressions has papers dealing with issues that are concerned with a broad spectrum of writers and critical aspects.

Guest Article by Dr. Neerja A. Gupta entitled ‘Migration of Women Indentured and Their Narratives by Women Writers: Jahajin by Peggy Mohan’, is an in depth analysis of issues faced by the immigrant women and their struggle to deal with them as reflected. Theatre is an important literary genre which is enjoyed in all parts of the world. Dr. D. Sudha Rani has given an overview of South Asian Diasporic Theatre in her paper encapsulating all its aspecs. ‘Eternalising Cultural Memory through Cultural Parallels in Literary Narratives’ is the topic of Dr. Sumathi Shivakumar’s paper which makes an interesting case. ‘Poetry as a Social Act: A Study of O.P. Bhatnagar’s Poetry’ by Dr Praveen Kumar presents an appreciation of Bhatnagar’s poetry. Aju Mukhopadhyay has discussed the portrayal of women by Saadat Hasan Manto in his paper entitled ‘Victims of Lust: Women in Saadat Hasan Manto’s Short Stories’.  ‘Women in the Novels of Namita Gokha le’ is the topic of discussion of Dr. Vinita Jain’s paper while Dr. Sushma Kasbekar deals with the theme of death in Emily Dickinson’s Poems. Paper by Ms Shamayita Sen is about  the two writers  Rohiton  Mistry  and Salman  Rushdie  Midnight’s  whereas Dr. Payal Bhardwaj talks about two of the novels by Nayantara Sahgal in her paper.
The issue also short stories. We sincerely thank all the contributors of current issue of Impressions and hope all are a good read.
