Chasing the moon, this afternoon

Dr. R. P. Singh

Chasing the moon along the rails
first in thoughts ,and in the vision next
this May , afternoon grows  up to sunset .

You know it echoes so often
the facts long last ,and foretold.
It winks across the time's  by lane
when with some late Victorian texts
Time brings memories forth ...

The  narratives yawn ,
peeping  across  the shade ,
yes  this dark evening steals the grace
that some days past ,crossing the sordid
COVID  years has planned...
Moon ,you spare the days
and come full grace ,
come full mirth
of those placid days
of thoughts ,of revelations
of images  and all...

I saw moon hunt two days past ,
the jacket shows the marks
and the wrinkles of time fade ,
Yes, the  red hot ,waffling widget on...
