I Garden

Dr. Stephen Gill, Distinguished Research Professor, York University, Toronto, Ontario (Canada)

I garden to offer roses to you.
As I water, their spell radiates me and the obvious signs of their unrivalled beauty brighten me.
I grab their thorns, becoming their fallen petals, living and dying for you.
The dignity of their hue is my mastering passion and sweet light that epitomize my life. Often they make me sing and cry.
Their energizing gaze is the sage who enters into animated dialogue, humbling my pride and telling not to fight.
In my pagoda of truth, your unveiled face raptures my mind.
