Apples Taste Bitter

Sanju Paul, Kullu, HP

Entangled in the chains of taboos and traditions
To me, the apples look black and taste bitter
I lay bleeding, soiled and stranded
Smeared in the stink all around
All for the sake of those hypothetical heavenly blessings
My physique
My heart
My mind
My solemnity
Sinks in the pungent waters of hell.
