About Us

Mission Statement

Impressions strives to present work of high quality in English Literature, linguistics and cultural studies from the multi disciplinary and multi cultural perspective that characterises the study of English. The aim of the journal is to publish substantial scholarly and critical interventions on emerging trends in literature in English. Impressions will carry distinctive, intelligent writing that has something to say and says it in a way that captures and maintains attention.

Editors

Malti Agarwal was Reader and Head, Department of English, N. A. S.(P.G.) College, Meerut. She had been teaching post-graduate classes since 1974 and is actively engaged in guiding research. She has presented a good number of research papers in English in various national and international seminars and conferences as well as published in journals of repute. She has also authored and edited books: Professional Communication (Vol. I and II), Technical Writing in English, Objective English for Competitions and New Perspectives on Indian English Writings.

Abha Shukla Kaushik is Professor, Department of English, A. K. P. G. College, Hapur, Ghaziabad. She has been teaching post-graduate classes since 1996. A gold medalist from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and Meerut University, Meerut, she has presented research papers in national and international conferences and seminars. She has also authored 'Short Stories of Shashi Deshpande: A Feminist Interpretation' and edited books 'Postmodern Indian English Fiction', 'Indian Drama in English-Some Perspectives' and ‘Emergent Trends and Issues in Indian English Drama'.

Peer Review Process

We follow a strict double-blind reviewing of the submitted works, that is, we promise to conceal always the identity of both the reviewers and the author from each other. If any submitted paper fails to fulfill primary standards, it will be rejected and the author will be communicated the decision promptly. If the editors are satisfied, they will select two or more reviewers for detailed consideration of the papers. The editors may advise the author to revise the papers for publication.
